Map of the Barony of Mordington after 1634

The boundaries of the barony after 1634 were:

  • on the North side - the road running East/West from Mordington Bridge to Starch House;
  • on the East side - the lane running North/South which forms the English/Scottish border, intersecting with the Northern boundary at 'Starch House' and intersecting with the Southern boundary where the field boundary meets with the lane just South of the stream;
  • on the West side - the Wheatland burn, which intersects with the Northern boundary at Mordington Bridge and flows South to join the River Whiteadder;
  • on the South side - the River Whiteadder and, moving East, just before the river bends to the South, the field boundary that runs East/West just to the North of the bastle (marked) and intersects with the Eastern boundary (the lane) as described above.
