Arms granted by King Manuel I of Portugal to Nicolao Coronel, Physician to the Royal Family, apparently a nephew of Don Abraham Senior (Fernao Perez Coronel), in 1499 (Arquivo Nacional da Tore do Tombo, Liv 4 de Misticos, fls 165 verso e Chanceleria de D. Manuel, Liv 16 fls 108 verso). Nicolao Coronel appears to have accompanied Queen Maria, daughter of Ferdinand of Aragon and Isabella of Castile, into Portugal on the occasion of her marriage to Manuel I in 1497.
